"Sow for yourselves righteousness; Reap in mercy; Break up your fallow ground, For it is time to seek the Lord, Till He comes and rains righteousness on you."
Hosea 10:12 (NKJV)
I encourage you to read the entire chapter of Hosea, but I want to focus for words "rains righteousness on you." We are all praying for Rain for obvious reasons: to control the outbreak of fires, watering livestock, the growth of our crops and more. We are told in this one verse that we must sow righteousness, seek forgiveness, put our faith to work. Yes, our land is dry, but we need to ensure that our faith stays refreshed and nourished by seeking out the Lord daily until He comes and Rains righteousness on us. So, it is my prayer, that we all begin to sow righteousness, seek forgiveness and put our faith to work for when we do the Rains of Righteousness will fall upon you. Lord, send the Rains. Amen.

This week, I again will be attending Ministry ZOOM Meetings, visiting with church leadership on outreach opportunities and speaking to the BSM Leadership during their Retreat hosted at the Tri-Rivers Retreat Center. On Sunday, I will be attending the Lampasas Baptist Association Leadership Meeting hosted at School Creek Baptist Church.
This past week, I attended three Ministry ZOOM meetings, met the daily ministries needs of our area churches to include pulpit supply scheduling, search committee assistance, background checks and providing various ministry resources/training along with preparing the Tri-Rivers Retreat Center for a retreat. On Sunday, I was honored to worship and preach at Littleville Baptist Church in Hamilton and later that day worshiped and preached at True Vine Fellowship Church in Hico.
We continue to provide ministry resources in the areas: website & streaming service, VBS, BSM, Churches seeking Pastor and Staff positions, Bible Study resources, financial accounting, providing maintenance at the Tri-Rivers Retreat Center as we continue to host ministry retreats throughout the summer.
Please review the latest Classified Ad in this newsletter as we have churches seeking church staff positions and other various ministry needs.
Please take time to view the Tri-Rivers Baptist Area Newsletter to remain connected to ministry needs and Resource/Training Opportunities and to view all upcoming Ministry, Training and Fellowship Opportunities.
If you have a ministry need or request, please do not hesitate to call your Area Office as we are here to serve you 24/7.

Tri-Rivers Retreat Center Water Well Repair
Expense Assistance
The Tri-Rivers Retreat Center Water Well was repaired on May 6th, 2022, which included the replacement of all the downhole pipe, water pump and the control box. There were several holes in the down hole pipes and the water pump was 18 years old and beginning to wane, therefore the repair was necessary. The cost was just over $9,000.00 and as this expense was unexpected and out of the scope of our general maintenance budget, we are asking for any financial assistance in funding this expense.
We are asking for donations of any amount to restore the Maintenance Fund that serves the Tri-Rivers Retreat Center. All funds received over and above the invoice amount will be designated to the Retreat Center Maintenance Fund for future use.
Donations can be sent to the Tri-Rivers Baptist Area Designated: Water Well Repair
Tri-Rivers Baptist Area
502 E. Main Street
Gatesville, TX 76528
Or you may give Online by clicking the
"Donate HERE Button" Below
The Tri-Rivers Retreat Center which is owned by each church within the Tri-Rivers Baptist Area and funded exclusively by donations received from churches, organizations and individuals allows us to never charge a fee to use this valuable ministry facility. This is truly a unique ministry tool unlike anything I have ever been a part of. This facility is used weekly to encourage and strengthen God’s Church, His Children, and our Ministry Partners in fulfilling the Great Commission while delivering the message of Salvation to those who are lost.
As of the date of this request the Tri-Rivers Retreat Center has hosted 15 ministry retreats with 393 people entering its gates to Encounter Christ without the concern of Expense. To date we have 38 confirmed reservations for 2022, including retreats from Texas WMU, Christian Women Job Corp, Christian Men’s Job Corp, Area Churches/Ministers, Domestic/Abuse Survivors, Preteen/Youth Camps, National Network of Youth Ministers and Families. (View full calendar at tririversretreatcenter.com)
I want to thank all those who have already provided funds and I want to thank you in advance for your assistance in this Unexpected but Necessary Repair Expense to allow your Retreat Center to continue to serve all those who enter its gates.
Thank you for those who have already donated funds toward this expense. It is greatly appreciated:

God is doing some amazing things at Highland Lakes Camp. We have seen over 100 students saved and many more make life changing decisions so far this summer. Many of the renovations of the camp have taken place and there is a little excitement taking place. Please pray for God's movement at the camp and His power to change lives as we serve this summer and prepare for the fall.
I am contacting you about the possibility of serving on a short-term mission project this summer. We are at our capacity for most weeks. But we are dealing with some tough challenges with a very limited number of summer staff this year of only 21. They are Godly students and are doing an amazing job. But, since the pandemic, college students and interns have been very hard to find for most camps in Texas. In short, we are experiencing a severe worker shortage. We need volunteers!
Would you please consider coming and bringing some volunteer workers to one week of our camps? These are the dates we are needing help: August 1-5, August 6-10
We could use help with the following -
• Food Service Team - not so much cooking as prepping the food, cleaning the dining hall, serving guests
• Maintenance Team - mowing, weed eating, keeping up with water stations, pulling trash, helping to resolve maintenance issues
• Bus Drivers - driving a school bus strictly while on campus so campers can get to the lake and other rec events quickly
Why not think of this as a mission project? Bring your best friends or mission team. We would LOVE to host a group of 6-8 dedicated people. Know that we will provide the hotel rooms and meals for free.
If you can help, please contact John Bailey at john@highlandlakesbaptistcamp.org or the Camp Office at 512-264-1777 ext. 1100
God is at work here at Highland Lakes Camp.... why not join Him and see lives changed! Thank you for praying and letting others know about this opportunity in your church.

Each day, God is transforming lives through TBM ministries. Driven by their faith and responding to God's call to serve, TBM volunteers are meeting needs and sharing His love.
That's something to celebrate.
So on TBM Day, Aug. 21, let's do just that. Your church or Bible study can rejoice knowing all of the people they ministered to through TBM ministries.
How can you celebrate?
- Show a TBM video before or during your Bible study or worship service.
-
Request a TBM speaker. We even have ordained ministers who can deliver the message that day.
- Wear your TBM gear. Show others your love for TBM by wearing a TBM shirt to church. When someone asks you about it, tell them how God is working through the ministry.
Where can you get these resources? Download them at https://www.tbmtx.org/tbm-day.
Can we help you celebrate that day? Let me know. We're glad to help.
Mickey Lenamon

Better Together
Networking means leveraging efforts - working together.
And "together" means all of us - youth workers, teenage leaders, teachers, parents, other adults - everyone who loves kids.
We want to equip you to step out and work alongside youth leaders and other caring adults locally - empowered by national connections to reach and equip young people for Jesus Christ.
| |
We are excited to share that our latest resource is our online learning system featuring Jesus-Focused Youth Ministry which introduces learners to six essential characteristics emulating Jesus’ ministry:
- Go deeper in intimacy with Christ
- Pray with passion for God’s presence and power
- Build leaders for in-depth and long-term ministry
- Disciple students to move toward maturity in Christ
- Penetrate the culture through relationships
- Create outreach opportunities to reach students for Christ
While we still offer in-person training forums, we believe the addition of individualized online training will put this invaluable resource into the hands of many more people. Because we offer the training in English, Spanish, Russian, and Swahili, it will exponentially increase our reach.
We are building on our past to influence the future. And we are giving JFYMO away free to youth leaders during our introductory period. You can learn more by visiting JFYMO.com.

Tri-Rivers Baptist Area is partnering with Restoration Advocates, Inc. as we continue to minister to victims of Domestic Violence.
Restoration Advocates exists to provide the care and support necessary for women, and their dependent children, who are victims of domestic violence and other dangers that place them at risk of life or physical harm and/or deprive them of their overall safety and sense of well-being. Our mission is for every woman in an unsafe home to have the confidence, as well as the resources, to independently support herself and her children.
To that end, we have established a safe haven called Restoration Place, where survivors of family violence can live in safety as they restore their lives to health and happiness. Restoration Place provides emergency housing for women and children in crisis and we also offer transitional housing for a period of up to two years if that is needed for the family to be fully independent and self-supporting.
