Stories: We often speak of our lives as a unique story. We even use phrases like, “I’m an open book," or “You need to turn the page,” or “I’m starting a new chapter,” to describe the stories of our lives. You are born into a family story. You overlay that early story with the stories you encounter as you walk through life. At some point, if even walking into our church for the first time on this occasion, the story of Jesus overlays our own. What impact does that make? Why does it matter?

“The law indeed was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ." John 1:17
News and A Look At What's Coming Up
Dear Beloved Broadway Community,

The Board of Directors met January 31, 2023, and voted to approve the SPIRIT of the Unified vision proposal and specifically, the development of one weekly worship service. The Executive Committee, Elders, Worship Committee and Past Board Chairs uniformly endorsed acceptance.

The Elders facilitating round table discussions reported member excitement outweighed recorded challenges. While a number of people attended multiple meetings over the past five months, nearly 500 voices participated in the discussions of the Unified proposal. I give thanks for this level of engagement and love of BCC.
A reminder that there will be NO Harp & Healing service this month. Please visit our YouTube channel to listen to previously recorded services as you need.
Complete Your Registration by February 5th! We're hoping you're planning to attend, so sign up and let us know!
This year's theme comes from the work, life, and heart of Rev. Dr. Sarah Griffith Lund.
Unfortunately, we've learned that Sarah is not able to join us in person due to family needs and we will hold them in our prayers as we embrace her work.  Sarah's book will be our gift in text and testament. It is more than memoir; it’s a resource for healing and comfort. As Sarah writes, “This testimony is for anybody who has ever wondered how God can use craziness to teach us about the depths of human and divine love.”
Broadway has committed to supporting RATI by furnishing an evening meal for three separate weeks at the shelter on Ashley Street. Our next week to provide meals is this week, beginning February 5. Please peruse this document for essential things to know regarding providing food.
Please use this signup to schedule a time to take a meal to RATI.
