MEET THE 2019-20 ENERGY COMMITTEE LEADERSHIP
The Energy Committee provides legislators an opportunity to engage in policy discussions and the identification of shared solutions on relevant issues such as the reliable generation and transmission of the West's energy resources.  The committee convened during this year's 72nd Annual Meeting for member conversations and engagement with topic experts on selected key issues. Representative Geraldine Custer -  Currently  serving her third term in the Montana House of Representatives, Representative Custer's district includes south central and southeastern Montana. Her experience in public service spans four decades. In 1978, she became the first woman elected as Rosebud County Clerk and Recorder and retired with the distinction of being Montana's longest-serving county official before starting her first term as a state representative.  Read Full Bio
 
Representative Chris Hansen -  Representing the District 6, which encompasses the east-central neighborhoods of Denver, Representative Hansen serves on the Joint Budget Committee and as Chair of the House Appropriates Committee. 2019 LEGISLATIVE SERVICE AGENCY /RESEARCH DIRECTORS MEETING
Members of the Legislative Service Agency & Research Directors (LSA/RD) Committee met for their annual training seminar in Santa Fe, New Mexico October 14-15, inviting participants to learn, exchange ideas, points of view, and experiences. This year's agenda included discussions on redistricting, ethics, leadership styles, succession planning, regional demographics, and much more.  For a full review of the meeting, please click below.
