Studying the Scriptures

The Glory of Praise
If you attend our worship service or watch online, you may have noticed something a bit different in the gathering rite. The Gloria is one of the church’s magnificent songs of praise, traditionally said or sung before the Collect of the Day. The Book of Common Prayer (p. 356) allows for songs of praise other than the Gloria to be used. I have been using some of the Canticles and songs of praise from Morning Prayer. I pray these songs will lift your hearts unto God.

Masks Required Indoors - Regardless of Vaccination Status
We all know that this is frustrating, but faced with a distressing rise in coronavirus cases, at a media briefing this morning it was announced that Los Angeles County will again be requiring residents to wear masks in indoor public spaces from midnight on Saturday — regardless of vaccination status.
Further details will be announced tomorrow - Friday July 16.
