On Friday, May 18th, volunteers from Cinnaire and the Community Economic Development Association of Michigan ( CEDAM ) worked with CAHP staff and board members at the Walter French School to remove overgrown bushes and other yard waste -- bringing CAHP one step closer to the redevelopment of the property.

"Working together with community minded partners such as CAHP and CEDAM, we can create vibrant, affordable and sustainable neighborhoods. The revitalization of the Walter French School will be a catalyst for community and economic development," said Mark McDaniel, Cinnaire president & CEO.

Matched Savings Program Offered
If you are 6-months to 3-years from purchasing a home, going back to school or starting a business -- an Individual Development Account (IDA) may be available to help double your savings.

Community Planting Beautifies Public Spaces
The City of Lansing hosted their annual Neighborhoods in Bloom event on Saturday, May 19th. CAHP volunteered with the the Holmes Street School Community to plant new flowers in Lansing's east side.

Down Payment Assistance Available For MSU & City of East Lansing Employees
The Employee Home Ownership Program (EHOP) provides home buying assistance from employers, specifically the city of East Lansing and Michigan State University. Eligible employees can use the $5,000 for either a down payment or closing costs. The program has no income restrictions.

BWL Offers Energy Efficiency Tips to Home Buyers
THANK YOU to Aileen Gow and Tom Gray for their continued support at our monthly Home Buyer Education classes. As senior energy analysts at BWL, Aileen and Tom offer key tips to interested homeowners on energy savings within homes.
