In April and May, join Redwood City Public Library for One Book, One Coast, which unites libraries and communities across California, Oregon and Washington around a shared book and conversation. The 2026 selection, They Called Us Enemy, is George Takei’s graphic memoir of his childhood incarceration during World War II. Read along to learn how shared books and stories build stronger communities. Pick up They Called Us Enemy in print (place your hold now!) or as an eBook.

Cheer on the Giants while supporting a great cause—$5 from each ticket sold will directly benefit the Friends of the Redwood City Public Library, helping to fund vital library programs. On Wednesday April 15 from 6-7:30pm at the Downtown Library, join us to learn more about available child care resources in the community. In addition, learn about the services that 4Cs Childcare Coordinating Council provides for families in San Mateo County. The event will include resource tables, 4Cs presentation, food, drawings and much more!
