In the midst of a pandemic, racial reckoning, and a historic election, the live-streamed service will gather Americans for prayer, song, lament, hope, and a call to love God and neighbor.
*Update* The Living Community
On June 14, the Christ Church congregation voted its overwhelming support (92.7% in favor) of the Living Community. With this necessary approval secured, our development partner—the Better Housing Coalition—submitted the rezoning application. During the rezoning process, some residents of neighboring communities raised concerns about the proposed development. Based on these concerns and feedback from local government officials, we are talking with both the Better Housing Coalition and Eagle (the purchaser of the acreage for single family homes) about potential paths forward.  We remain fully committed to our two-fold missional purpose for the land—to provide a Living Community for seniors and Neuro-Diverse adults and to secure funding for the ongoing good works of Christ Church. We hope to have more to share with everyone, when we gather for our annual meeting in December.
Opportunities to give of your time, talent, and treasure
*New* Food Drive for local food pantry
Drop off at CCE Library
The month of November
Thank you to those who have volunteered to serve at the food pantry at Welborne United Methodist Church. Each week 53-92 families, representing 240-600 people, are fed. Jesus tells us in Matthew 25 that when we feed those in need, we feed him. Thank you for being the Body of Christ through service in the community!

The food pantry is asking for a collection of food items for kids:
  • applesauce
  • granola bars
  • mac n cheese
  • spaghetti
  • PB & jelly
  • cereal

A collection box will be present at Sunday worship services in the month of November and also inside the CCE Library all month long. Please bring your donations as you are able!
Pack Backpacks of Food for Kids
In-person at FeedMore
November 16, 1-4 PM
Ten people are needed to stuff backpacks with food to be distributed to families in need. Tasks are of a physical nature and include assembling food bags with 8 items that will then be delivered to children in various schools during each week. Volunteers will unpack items from crates and cartons, assemble them into food bags, recycle, and clean up after their shift. Click here to register in Realm and you will be sent all the details (what to wear, where to park, etc.) Contact Rev. Richard with any questions.
