Digestive Disease Week
From May 21st-24th, CVSA will be exhibiting at the Digestive Disease Week (DDW) conference. Digestive Disease Week, or DDW, is the premier gastroenterology (GI) focused conference sponsored by American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD), and The Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract (SSAT).

CVSA will have both an in-person and virtual presence, this enables CVSA to interact with medical professionals from all over the world.

With in-person attendance expected to between 10-15k, CVSA chose this event to advance our mission.

Aspects of the CVSA mission addressed in this outreach include medical advocacy, providing education, supplying information, and spreading awareness of CVS to medical professionals.

Please feel free to share with your GI doctors that the Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome Association (CVSA) will be exhibiting at DDW and to stop by booth #2016 if they plan to attend.

CVSA 2022 Conference

In December 2021, the CVSA Board of Directors made the very difficult decision to cancel the in-person conference that was to be held in 2022.

At the time that this decision made, the pandemic was once again reaching peaks nationwide. With the in-person venue for the event needing to have confirmation finalized, the decision was made to not host the in-person conference in 2022.

Since that decision, CVSA has been looking into other ways to still have meaningful interactions and ways to connect with others, until we can host the next conference.

The decision to cancel was not made easily or lightly. The members of the Board of Directors are acutely aware of how impactful it is to meet others with CVS. We understand that this change may cause a great inconvenience for you and on behalf of CVSA we sincerely apologize.

Thank you for participating!
The CVS Hope clinical trial has ended! This was to be for the first ever CVS specific medication. Although there are quite a few medications used to treat CVS, none of them are specifically designated for treating CVS.
We look forward to hearing what the outcome of the trial is.

We’d like to thank everyone that enrolled and participated. Your involvement serves to help researchers and scientists gain more of an understanding of cyclic vomiting syndrome. Together we can help make a difference for those living with CVS!
