Travel has rebounded, and Brownell saw its best year on the books ending last year 30% over 2019 sales goals. This astounding growth would not have been possible without you, our trusted partners. Sending intrepid travelers on nearly 16,000 trips across all seven continents, our clients remain excited and eager to experience the transformative power of travel. Below you will see the impressive 2022 sales numbers and how they stacked up by travel type.

2022 ended most notably with our annual company meeting, Brownell Academy – it was a special time to gather our community of fantastic partners, independent travel advisors, and Brownell staff to celebrate the year’s successes and to revel in all that our resilient industry has accomplished. We were thrilled to recognize 80% of our advisors for achieving Devonian ($1M), 1887 ($1.75M), and Griffin ($2.75M) sales levels.

This is an exhilarating time that will include many opportunities for partnerships and ways to engage with us. Let’s get the conversation going! Drop us an email at [email protected] to begin collaborating and join us on our journey as we gear up for a prosperous 2023.

What was the most memorable trip you planned in 2022?

RACHEL HOPPES

Several trips stood out in 2022, but the one I will always remember was a trip to Italy for a family of four: Mom, Dad, and two adult children in their 40s. The highlight was the Keyholder Experience at the Vatican and Sistine Chapel. While they were in the Sistine Chapel alone with their guide, a Cardinal happened to walk in, and the guide asked for a blessing. The clients wound up being blessed by a Cardinal in the Sistine Chapel with an impromptu private blessing ceremony. It gave me so much pleasure to hear the happiness in their voices talking about this experience. I think I will always remember the way it felt to touch someone’s life in that way.

We planned an epic Scottish getaway for a multi-generational family group that will stand out for years to come as one of the most memorable trips we've worked on. It was incredibly important and meaningful for our client to take her children and their families to Scotland. Covering Edinburgh, the Highlands, and the Isle of Skye, we were thrilled to surprise and delight this family at every turn, from a proper welcome at their estate complete with bagpipers to creating their very own Highland Games followed by a full Scottish banquet. After the kids returned home, our clients enjoyed another two weeks in Scotland, exploring the North Coast 500 by a private driver and venturing into the Hebrides. Few things satisfy me more as an advisor than to plan and execute a brilliant multi-gen trip!

JANINE DOLAN

The most memorable trip I planned in 2022 was for a dear client who is also inspiring. She is 75 years young, and we planned a trip around her two-week intensive Italian Language Program. Based in Milan, she went for two weeks alone to study speaking solely in Italian with people she had never met. We ensured her hotel was within walking distance of the school and other iconic sites. The hotel took excellent care of her, and when the hotel restaurant was closed, they called their friends from a restaurant across the street to say she was coming. They put her at a table in the window and talked in Italian with her all night. Once her husband joined for a few more days in Milan and then to Lake Como, we arranged a private cooking class with a lifestyle journalist who is also a chef. They made a fantastic lunch and chatted beyond the time allotted for the lesson. Today, they have robust email correspondence and consider each other friends. Being able to impact someone’s life through travel is why I love what I do!

WHERE ARE YOU HEADED NEXT?

In February I am headed to Antarctica with White Desert (flying from South Africa to their luxury camps), and I’ll be hosting 20 friends and family members in Morocco for my birthday. In March, I’m excited to be in Florence for DUCO and hope to see many of you there!

YOUR IDEAL CLIENT IS...

I’ve built Bell & Bly Travel by focusing on a very specific client type – C-level executives and successful entrepreneurs. From there, I look for clients who value our time and expertise, are fun to plan for, and are kind to my team!

YOUR IDEAL GROUND PARTNER IS?

Paying attention to the detailed briefs we send and responding thoughtfully with unique ideas that will suit each particular client.

IF YOU COULD SPEND ONE NIGHT ANYWHERE?

Singita Kwitonda Lodge trekking with the Gorillas!

WHAT DOES LUXURY MEAN TO YOU?

Surprising details, feeling like you have friends in a destination, and gorgeous

high-end finishes and furnishings.

WHAT DO YOU DO FOR FUN?

I live part-time in Sedona and Teton Valley, so I love hiking and being outside! I’m also learning golf and hope to spend a little more time away from the office and get into new hobbies in the coming year.
