DISTRICT 6 REPORT
Stay Up to Date on Coronavirus
We know you and your family are concerned about COVID-19 (coronavirus). That's why city officials are tracking developments from health experts across multiple agencies and making the latest information available at our resource page below.

You may have also seen news coverage of closures and postponements affecting Anaheim venues including the Disneyland Resort, Honda Center and Angel Stadium. I believe these wise precautions will be temporary and I look forward to an active season for Angels Baseball and exciting new openings at the Disneyland Resort, such as the new Marvel attractions opening this summer.

Community Round-Up
Congratulations to District 6 MUZEO Awardee: Kevin Kowalski
I attended the Annual MUZEO Awards, Art and Wine Gala. This year, awards were given to various community members and organizations that have expanded arts or culture in the various districts of Anaheim. I got to nominate and present an award to Kevin Kowalski, Esperanza High School Art Teacher. This award is a testament of his legacy and impact on the community.
Boys & Girls Club Casino Night
The Casino Night Fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Club was a lot of fun and a huge success. Congratulations on your fundraising efforts to support this amazing organization.
2020 Compost Giveaway
I had a wonderful time attending the compost giveaway at the Honda Center this past weekend put on by the Republic Waste Services. Anaheim residents had the opportunity to receive up to 60 gallons of nutrient-rich compost material. To learn more about Anaheim's solid waste & recycling programs visit: Anaheim.net/recycle
Oak Canyon Nature Center Receives $20,000 Grant
One of Anaheim’s best-kept secrets, the Oak Canyon Nature Center was recently awarded a $20,000 grant from the Samueli Foundation. This funding will help offer programs to even more kids throughout our community so they can also experience the nature center and enjoy everything it has to offer.
