Last Friday the Communication & Media Studies and Art Department co-sponsored a very special event at the Falany Performing Arts Center. Students were treated to five excellent guest speakers: John DeMicco, a Senior Audio Designer and 22 year veteran of CNN; Brian Frey, a graduate of Reinhardt University and a third year PhD student in UMBC's Information Systems program; Kiel Schultheiss, a Mechanical Engineering Technology expert who has his own 3-D printing business in Atlanta; Lauren Hasty, the Digital Communications Manager at the well known Poilâne Bakery in Paris, France; and Gregori Faroux, the IT Director of Planning and Strategic Initiatives at Georgia State University.

Alumna Soaring High in her Career After Reinhardt

Christina Burns '08 is soaring high in her career after graduating from Reinhardt. The B.A. grad is currently the research assistant for the dramatic TV mini-series Fly Girls-the Unprecedented Story of the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) - The Forgotten Fliers of WWII.

World War II would change how America saw itself, and how it saw its men and women. The United States became a world power through the giant leaps in aviation that was helped enormously by the efforts of women pilots. This group of exceptional women saw far beyond the limits of their time. They showed anyone that was paying attention a glimpse of what could be.

No. 12 Reinhardt Draws St. Francis in Opening Round; Eagles qualify for NAIA FCS for first time
After wrapping up the regular season 9-1, No. 12 Reinhardt has earned a bid to the NAIA Football Championship Series, with the Eagles traveling to take on No. 4 University of St. Francis in Fort Wayne, Ind., Saturday at noon.

Reinhardt's third-year program has posted a winning record in each of its years of competition on the gridiron, but this year has been very special for the Eagles. Reinhardt boasts the top-ranked rushing offense in the nation, averaging 360.6 yards per game.
