Network Executive Director Pascale Leone Receives Community Housing Innovation’s Champion of Champions Award


On April 23rd, Executive Director Pascale Leone was honored with Community Housing Innovations’ Champion of Champions Award at the No Place Like Home Gala.

Community Access Breaks Ground on River Avenue II Apartments


On March 31st, Community Access joined project and community partners to celebrate the groundbreaking of River Avenue II Apartments. Once complete, this new residence will bring 292 affordable apartments, including 173 supportive apartments for individuals with mental illness, formerly homeless individuals and veterans with disabilities. 15 units are for individuals with mobility needs and six units are for individuals with sensory disabilities.

West Side Federation for Senior and Supportive Housing Breaks Ground on West 108 Phase II


On March 29th, the West Side Federation for Senior and Supportive Housing (WSFSSH) , project and community partners, gathered to break ground on West 108th Phase II. Once complete, this new affordable and supportive housing residence will bring 84 apartments for seniors, including 40 supportive for adults over 55 living with serious mental illness and/or substance use concerns, to the Upper West Side in Manhattan.

Network Hosts NetWorkshop on Messaging Support for Supportive Housing 


On April 20th, the Network hosted an interactive NetWorkshop on messaging support for supportive housing in New York City.


Led by Liz Benjamin of Marathon Strategies, the session focused on best practices for developing proactive, effective messaging about the benefits of supportive housing. Participants explored strategies for engaging with the media, presenting at community board meetings, and communicating in land use and local government hearings.

The Network Hosts a Furniture Vendor Expo


On April 15th the Network hosted a virtual Furniture Vendor Expo, designed to connect providers with Furniture vendors in New York City and New York State.

The Network has launched a “New Member Spotlight” series on our social media to introduce organizations that have recently joined the Network. This month, we featured Commonpoint, a community centric nonprofit, serving diverse audiences through every chapter of life, across the five boroughs and beyond.

The Director of Development will work with the Executive Director to establish and advance a comprehensive vision for the organization’s fundraising, membership engagement and communication strategy. This is a highly visible position requiring a strategic thinker, relationship builder who is passionate about housing and homelessness issues and able to work effectively across sectors with donors, nonprofit and corporate members, board members, government agencies and elected officials.
