The House and Senate have agreed on across-the-board funding increases for the HUD programs that are key to supportive housing. It is expected that the President will sign the bill, avoiding a government shutdown. This represents an incremental increase keeping the programs whole, not a major new investment.

As we have shared previously, human services nonprofits are now able to begin the process of claiming their true indirect cost rates (ICR) on their NYC contracts.

On December 11th members of the Yonkers and Westchester community gathered next to a dilapidated church for Westhab’s Dayspring Commons groundbreaking.

2 019 Tenant of the Year Breakfast
Tenants who’d been nominated as 2019 Supportive Housing Tenants of the Year gathered with the caseworkers who’d nominated them for the Network’s annual Award Breakfast December 3rd, which was held at HELP USA’s Genesis Residence.

Moira McComas Joins Network as Policy Analyst

As a member of the policy team, Moira will be working with our members and city agencies on policy issues that impact supportive housing development.

Joelle Ballam-Schwan New Engagement and Communications Manager
Joelle Ballam-Schwan -- who has been the Network's Events and Member Services Coordinator since February -- has been promoted and will be the organization's Engagement and Communications Manager. In addition to running the Network's signature events -- the Conference, Annual Meeting and Awards Gala -- as well as interacting with member agencies and co-facilitating our provider meetings, Joelle will be responsible for the organization's communications.
