Need reading inspiration? Look no further! Our librarians have created monthly book lists on a variety of subjects and genres, including staff recommendations, book club picks, and just-for-fun reads. You can place holds on items directly from the lists in our catalog below. 

Adult Book Lists

Does your TBR pile need some holiday cheer? Check out what's been recently published in the holiday fiction genre! This list includes books that were published in either 2023 or 2024.

Find everything you'll need to have a festive holiday season this year in this nonfiction book list. Cookbooks, crafting guides, song books, essays-- check out some of the wonderful holiday books we have in our collection.

At last, we have made it to the final month of the Massachusetts Center for the Book's 2024 Adult Reading Challenge! Their challenge to you for the month of December is to read "a well-reviewed book in your least favorite genre." This reading list includes their suggested picks.

Historical Fiction Book Club

Join us on Thursday, December 5th at 5pm in the Meeting Room for the Historical Fiction Book Club.

Seniors' Book Club

The Seniors' Book Club is happening Monday, December 9th at 11am and will be meeting in the Lyceum.

Cookbook Club

The cookbook club will be meeting on Tuesday, December 17th at 6pm in the Meeting Room. Please register for this event and let us know what you'll be bringing!
