The Friquet Hotel would like to thank Ian Carre, head chef for over 27 years! Regrettably and after many years of service, Ian has decided to pursue another direction in life and we wish him all the best.
Ian has been an integral part of the successful development of Le Friquet Hotel from our well loved Falcon Carvery to The Lobster & Grill Restaurant & Eddies' Bar which has been thriving now for over 4 years.
Being a true Guernsey man, Ian has always championed locally sourced produce and it's likely you have had the pleasure of feasting on some of his beautiful cuisine.I'm sure I speak for many when I say he will be sorely missed.
We now welcome to the team GABRIEL PESTANA (originally from Madeira) who will be replacing Ian as Head Chef. Gabriel is a very experienced chef and has been living in Guernsey for over 28 years and has worked in many restaurants and has even run his own establishment.
Gabriel is looking forward to embracing Ian's well admired style but at the same time incorporating many of his own dishes.
