READING AND ROCKING

Our books and music collaboration with our friends at Parks, Recreation and Community Services is back for the second year in a row! Save the date for Reading and Rocking on Saturday, April 27 from 11am-1pm under the big tent on Courthouse Square. Join Joe Cepeda, award-winning illustrator and author, and local children’s musician, Andy Z, for a morning of fun. The event will include games, crafts and the opportunity to win prizes from Friends of the Redwood City Public Library.

Joe Cepeda is the illustrator of picture books such as “What a Truly Cool World”, “Nappy Hair”, “Mice and Beans” and “The Swing”, which he wrote as well as illustrated. Mr. Cepeda has illustrated books written by numerous notable authors including Gary Soto, Pam Muñoz Ryan, Monica Brown and Toni Morrison. Find Cepeda's books at the library here.
