The goal of the Healthy Schools BC Regional Grants is to support school districts and groups of First Nations and/or independent schools to identify and address priorities for mental well-being through strengthening and shaping partnerships with health sector partners. Healthy Schools Network (HSN) Grants
In case you missed it: Healthy Schools Network school level grants will return in October 2017

We are pleased to announce that Healthy schools Network (HSN) school grants that support healthy living are returning next school year.

The grants will be focused around a new overarching theme: Well-Being in a Real-World Context. We know BC schools understand the central role mental well-being plays both in fostering optimal environments for learning, and in engaging students as they develop their skills and explore their passions. Mental well-being is a key foundation for student health, well-being and success.
HSN school level grants   will encourage grantees to connect their work to two overarching questions:

How is it feasible to promote mental well-being through all environments that promote student learning, growth, and success? How does mental well-being impact the 'whole child'?
Stayed tuned and check back here in September and October, 2017.

We gratefully acknowledge the financial support of the Province of British Columbia through the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education.

Fitness for Life
An inquiry into healthy living

Will a personalized healthy living and fitness program, run in collaboration with a local community complex, engage more students in maintaining healthy activity who may otherwise disengage from the school's physical education programming? Will the students maintain their activity level in the long term as a result of a well-developed relationship with the instructors at the community complex?
