THE CUTEST CRITTER CONTEST IS HERE!

We need your support and this is a fun way to bring awareness of Paws in Prison to all your friends and family and win prizes in the process!

As shelters discontinue spay/neuter and immunization services, Paws in Prison must now absorb these additional veterinary expenses, and as you probably know from your own critters, veterinary expenses and food costs are continually rising. The "no kill" shelters are full and rural shelters still euthanize! Our goal is to get dogs rescued from these rural kill shelters, trained, then adopted so we can rescue more dogs and give our amazing trainers in the Paws in Prison program more training experiences. Won't you help us by entering a photo into the contest or voting on the contest's cutest critters?

So start snapping those photos and entering your Cutest Critter! You can enter your Cutest Critter photo beginning 12:00 AM (Central Time) on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 to start promoting your photo to your friends and families.

Your critter can be any pet, living or who crossed the rainbow bridge, who has stolen your heart, not just dogs. You will have the first three weeks of September to not only enter the contest, but also to get everyone you know to vote for your Cutest Critter.

Each vote translates to a $1 donation to Friends of Paws in Prison, and folks can vote as often and for as many critters as they wish. For example, 50 votes requires a $50 donation.

See below for all of the great prizes!

Last month, our administrator, Sylvia G, and board member and Adoption Coordinator, Debbie B, visited the McMahon Community Center with one of our adorable adoptables!

Let us know if we can visit your organization!

Thank you for helping us save more than dogs!

We are sorry if we omitted any names from those of you who helped us in any capacity this month, but we do not always know the names of our Paws in Prison angels! (Note that Venmo contributions are especially hard to track!)

Thank you to Darlene and James B, Penny L, Ellen M, and Abel and Kasey R for your donations this month!

Monthly donations, no matter the size, help us know what we can count on each month. Thank you to Eve B, Gale B, Sharlene E, Daniel H, Marcus L, Debbie M, Jennifer K, Shelly R, and Diana S for your continued support!
