July is National Parks and Recreation Month
July is National Parks and Recreation Month. The City of South Fulton opened its parks and recreational facilities in the first of a three-phase approach on Tuesday, July 14. The city’s plan outlines gradually increasing levels of reinstated services. Additionally, it sets protocols for social distancing, enhanced hygiene and sanitizing procedures, limited personal contact and other safety measures . Officials Schedule Parks Master Plan Focus Group for Seniors
Thank you to everyone who participated in the virtual parks master plan meetings to discuss and provide input on the future of parks and recreation in the City of South Fulton. Now is the time to get feedback specifically from the city's senior population. PRCA will hold a virtual focus group on July 21 at 1 p.m. Click the link below to register for this event.
Deputy Director Chapin Payne Teaches Track Conditioning
If you're thinking about competing in the Atlanta's AJC Peachtree Road Race on Thanksgiving Day or you just want have more endurance around the track when walking, running or jogging, then try PRCA's virtual sports clinic series. This month,PRCA Deputy Director Chapin Payne will make sure you are properly conditioned to tackle all your fitness goals around the track in 15 minutes. Feeding South Fulton Returns for Food Distribution on July 24
Feeding South Fulton will return at Welcome All Park on Friday on. July 24.

City staff and community volunteers will help prepare and distribute food items to families in need. Hundreds of families in South Fulton and around the metro area have benefited from the city's drive-through food giveaways for a couple of months.
