Here Are Five Things You Can Do To Stay in the Game
The June edition of the Ready, Set, Go! newsletter takes a look at what men can do to take better care of themselves. National Men's Health Month is observed to encourage men to adopt lifestyles of healthy eating and exercise.

"It is extremely important to make health and self-care a priority, especially with all the world is facing right now," said Tony Phillips, director, City of South Fulton Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Affairs.
That is why it is a top priority for our department to make virtual programming available online and on Instagram.

Several meetings are scheduled throughout June to gather input from residents about the amenities and programs they would like to see at parks and recreational facilities in the
City of South Fulton. Register today to attend the virtual meeting scheduled for your district. Each meeting begins promptly at 6:30 p.m.
PRCA to Celebrate Juneteenth with Special Programming

The City of South Fulton Parks, Recreation,and Cultural Affairs Department will celebrate Juneteenth on Friday, June 19, with a special program that will be available for viewing on the city’s YouTube channel and on the department’s Instagram account
 
 "The program will feature local artists performing uplifting and inspiring spoken word, dance ensembles, and musical acts," said Program Manager Lakita Ford.

Mayor William "Bill" Edwards, City Manager Odie Donald II and PRCA director Tony Phillips all will share perspectives on the historical importance of this day.

Juneteenth celebrates the end of slavery in Texas on June 19, 1865, two years after the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation. Watch this Washington Post video about the history of Juneteenth and why it resonates today.
COSF Tennis Center Renovation Featured in ALTA Magazine
Atlanta Lawn Tennis Association covered the ongoing renovations taking place at the South Fulton Tennis Center in the May-June 2020 edition of their Net News magazine. The project, which will cost just under $557,000, is slated for completion in early August. It will include 24 new playing surfaces, new striping, nets, poles and other equipment.
