2 Thessalonians 2:1-15 (KJV)
1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.

11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
STRONG DELUSION-feminine of <G4108> (planos) (as abstract); object fraudulence; subject a straying from orthodoxy or piety :- deceit, to deceive, delusion, error.

For well over 50 years now I have heard, read, BELIEVED, and preached one simple FACT................................
JESUS IS COMING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have HOPED and PRAYED fervently to see this day in MY lifetime.
BUT I never understand how confusing, bewildering, insane, and idiotic these days beforehand could possibly exist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It seems to this writer that just as Nero was “reportedly” fiddling while Rome burned, welcome to modern day America and the entire world.
How did Jesus put it:

Somewhere I heard the remark-
“Watching the “news” is no different than watching LIVE ATLANTA WRESTLING...

EVERYTHING I have heard about/read about and PREACHED about is happening right in front of my/our dis-believing eyes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AND/BUT I/we do not/can not believe what we see and hear.
WHY?? because WE are distracted.
Purposely WE are distracted by frivolous things as WE are persuaded to look the other way.
Much like a “magician” performs his/her “magic” tricks by sleight of hand and eye.
1 Kings 20:39-40 (KJV)
39 And as the king passed by, he cried unto the king: and he said, Thy servant went out into the midst of the battle; and, behold, a man turned aside, and brought a man unto me, and said, Keep this man: if by any means he be missing, then shall thy life be for his life, or else thou shalt pay a talent of silver.
40 And as thy servant was busy here and there, he was gone. And the king of Israel said unto him, So shall thy judgment be; thyself hast decided it.
“AS THY SERVANT WAS BUSY HERE AND THERE, HE WAS GONE!!!!!!!!!!!”
While evil grows stronger and stronger WE are “busy here and there” in our entertainment and “pursuit of HAPPINESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Jesus said:

2 Peter 3:11-12 (KJV)
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

45 But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;
46 The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.
