Ready for Spring Giveaway!
This morning I watched the national weather report before meeting my walking partner and suddenly felt warmer. For today, anyway. This weekend we'll switch to Daylight Savings Time. Yikes, springing forward means it will be pitch-dark again when we walk. I'm already dreading changing all of our clocks as most of them are battery driven. Can you tell I'm not a big fan of daylight savings time? Of any change, really. Maybe that's why I've enjoyed writing about the Amish.
How do I fill my days when it's too cold and wet to enjoy myself outside? I bundle up and sit near the fire and write. But I can't wait to bring my laptop out onto the patio.
When starting to write a new book I take into consideration the season. For instance, spring plays an important role in Starting from Scratch, as does autumn in A Letter from Lancaster County. I'm partial to autumn unless spring daffodils are popping up with renewed expectations.

Have you entered to win this lovely Amish-made pillow from Lancaster County, plus one of my signed Amish books? Either  Starting from Scratch A Letter from Lancaster County , or one of 3 books from  The Legacy of Lancaster County Trilogy : Bestsellers Leaving Lancaster , its sequel,  Pennsylvania Patchwork , or  Forever Amish . My Christmas novella hasn't released yet so it's not included. US only. Winner has 3 days to respond. Good luck to all who enter!

A Letter from Lancaster County

" DEFINITELY A MUST READ. The interaction between the Amish, Mennonite and English characters was charming.
