Hello!
Across Price Hill, backpacks are being packed, school clothes are being set out, and families are getting ready for a brand-new school year. For some children, it’s their first step into a classroom. For others, it’s a fresh chance to learn, grow, build confidence, and keep moving toward their goals.
In this month’s e-news, we’re celebrating the families who joined us for our back-to-school events, cheering on our newest Promoting Our Preschoolers graduates, and counting down to Passport to Success: Belonging (only a limited number of seats remain)!

Passport to Success:
Belonging is Almost Here
| |
Santa Maria’s annual fundraiser, Passport to Success: Belonging, is returning Saturday, September 26, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Western Hills Country Club.
This year’s theme celebrates the importance of feeling seen, valued, connected, and supported. Guests will enjoy brunch, meaningful stories, raffles, and a silent auction while helping families in Greater Price Hill work toward their educational, financial, and health goals.
WCPO’s Lauren Minor will return as emcee, and beloved Cincinnati community member Teddy Kremer will serve as keynote speaker, sharing his experiences with inclusion and belonging.
Tickets are $75 to $95, and only a limited number of seats remain. Reserve yours today before the event sells out!

Ready for School Across
Price Hill
| | Over 400 people gathered at ARCO Cincy earlier this month for Santa Maria’s Back-to-School Fest, where children received backpacks and school supplies. Families could also pick up food and fresh produce, and get help with Cincinnati Public Schools registration. Thank you to our amazing volunteers and to Apartment Association Outreach, Inc., Cincy-Cinco, and Humana for sponsoring this event! | | |
The support continues tomorrow, August 13, with a Back-to-School Bash for Lower Price Hill families from noon to 2 p.m. Children and teens can receive clothing essentials, personal care items, and hygiene bags, while families enjoy food and drinks. Thank you to The Charles H. Dater Foundation for supporting this event.
These events help ease that burden while bringing neighbors together, connecting families with helpful resources, and reminding children that their community is behind them. With the essentials they need to feel comfortable and confident, students can begin the year with a stronger foundation for learning.

Celebrating Our POP Graduates! | |
Congratulations to the 25 little ones who recently graduated from Santa Maria’s Promoting Our Preschoolers program!
Throughout their time in POP, the graduates strengthened early learning, communication, social-emotional, and kindergarten-readiness skills. Their parents and caregivers also gained tools and encouragement to continue supporting learning at home, making sure development continues long after the program.
This graduation marks an exciting next step for each child as they enter kindergarten with new skills, growing confidence, and families who are ready to cheer them on.
We’re proud of each graduate and grateful to the families, staff, and supporters who helped make this milestone possible. We can’t wait to see where their curiosity and determination take them next.
