The year 2020 tested all of us. We faced wave after wave of disruption. We managed a dramatic pace of change and anxiety of the unknown.
At the Wichita Art Museum, in 2020 we also found moments with unexpected silver linings. Our members and public found unprecedented joy in galleries, new pleasure in simply getting out to a calming place of beauty that was safe. Board and staff found a new resilience in our work to serve our community. Collectively, we focused on an expression of care and compassion for one another.
At WAM, we are very ready for a bright new year! We want to bring what we learned from tough days as well as from many positive experiences from the troubled 2020 with us into 2021. We will continue to do our best to enrich lives and build community in Wichita. Join us as we launch into a great 2021 ahead!
