PENNY WARS CONTINUE
Students win points for their house teams by donating pennies or sabotage other house teams by putting other denominations of money which count against the other team’s penny tally.

MIDDLE SCHOOL MATHCOUNTS
MathCounts club will start meeting today and every Monday from 3:45 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Blackwell Building, room 116. Please come and join for some fun. If you should have any questions, please contact Mr. Bernadac .

FIRST ANNUAL MORNING WITH COLLEGES TOMORROW
Parents welcome for the College Fair portion from 9:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The International School of Indiana’s College Counseling Department is hosting the first annual Morning with Colleges. Admissions representatives from twelve colleges will be present to learn more about the School and to talk with students. Learn more about the colleges attending and the schedule for the day, here .

PARENT ASSOCIATION MEETING, SEPTEMBER 11, 2018
Join us for the first Parent Association (PA) meeting of the 2018-2019 school year on September 11, at 8:30 a.m. in the 49th Street Building Cafeteria. The International School of Indiana (ISI) PA is a cooperative organization of parents and families of students at the school. All ISI families are members of the PA and are invited to attend PA meetings and participate in PA activities. Click  here  to learn more about the ISI PA.

PATRIOT DAY CEREMONY, SEPTEMBER 11, 2018
The International School of Indiana will remember the events of September 11, 2001 by holding a ceremony at the new Flag Circle between the High School and Middle School buildings tomorrow.

MODEL UNITED NATIONS SENIOR LEADERSHIP CHOSEN; SEEKING GRADE 10 & 11 LEADERS
Our first meeting will be on Tuesday, September 11th at lunch time in the Black Box Theater. Please bring your trays to the Black Box promptly at beginning of lunch.
We would also like to have a call out for Grade 10 & 11 students who are interested in working with the current Senior Leaders. Furthermore, we are also accepting expressed interest from 9th, 10th and 11th grade students wanting to work with the Middle School Club. Please contact Ms Howell at jhowell@isind.org with your interest and questions.

GRADE 10 PERSONAL PROJECT RETREAT
Grade 10 students will attend a Personal Project Retreat on Wednesday, Sep 12, 2018, for the entire school day, specifically from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Indianapolis Central Library. We will have lunch at the Circle Center Mall, so students are required to bring money to purchase their food. Have questions? Please contact Marithé Benavente , MYP Coordinator.

MIDDLE SCHOOL DEBATE CLUB
Debate club is back! We will be hosting debate club in Ms. St. Angelo's room every Thursday during lunch. Debate Club is a fun club where we all sit down and have silly debates. You do have to bring lunch and your computer, but that is all! We really hope you decide to come to debate club, it would mean a lot to us.

HOMECOMING DANCE, SEPTEMBER 14
On Friday, September 14 there will be a High School Homecoming Dance in the Black Box Theater from 8:00 - 11:00 p.m. The admission for the dance is $3.00 or students may purchase their entry to the dance, 2 slices of pizza and 1 soda for $8.00. Homecoming Dance and Pizza will go on sale Tuesday, September 11th during the High School lunch and will continue through Thursday.

SCORES:
The Boys Varsity Tennis team competed in Muncie this weekend for the PAAC conference. On Saturday, the Varsity Girls Volleyball team traveled to compete in the New Castle Invitational. The team fought hard but fell to Bellmont, Hamilton Heights, and Richmond during this tournament. Great job playing together as a team, Lady Gryphons!
