Celebrating 25 Years

  • Our board members will be available at the NCDSA tent and walking around to chat, answer any questions you have, and get to know our community members. Their goal is to find out how NCDSA can help YOU!
  • We want to capture all the moments from everyone's perspective. We are looking for pictures and videos of the day and encourage you to send any photos/videos you take to [email protected].
  • We will have volunteers throughout the event who may request a short clip of you saying "thank you" or to share what NCDSA does for YOU. These videos are our favorite way to help potential donors, new families, and the community at large understand the role NCDSA plays in achieving our mission.

Please leave Fido at home -

Only service animals are allowed at the event.

Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA. Service animals are defined as dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. Examples of such work or tasks include guiding people who are blind, alerting people who are deaf, pulling a wheelchair, alerting and protecting a person who is having a seizure, reminding a person with mental illness to take prescribed medications, calming a person with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) during an anxiety attack, or performing other duties. Service animals are working animals, not pets. The work or task a dog has been trained to provide must be directly related to the person’s disability.
