Friends,

I was recently asked whether I would be willing to work with Republican attorneys general from across the country on a new task force focused on cracking down on rampant welfare fraud. My answer is simple: absolutely.

As a prosecutor, I have spent decades fighting fraud and holding criminals accountable. In 2003, I began leading the Eaton County Economic Crimes Unit, which prosecutes welfare fraud and other financial crimes across Eaton, Clinton, and Ingham counties. For more than a decade, I also handled check fraud prosecutions on behalf of the Secretary of State. Investigating and prosecuting fraud, embezzlement, and financial crimes has been a major focus throughout my career, and I am ready to bring that experience to the Attorney General’s Office.

I have also built strong relationships with attorneys general across the country. The Republican Attorneys General Association has made Michigan one of its top priorities this cycle, and I have developed strong connections with leaders who are committed to restoring law and order and protecting taxpayers.

With more than three decades of prosecutorial experience, proven leadership, and strong partnerships already in place, I am prepared to aggressively investigate and prosecute the fraud that has become far too common in our state.

This campaign continues to build momentum because Michiganders are ready for an attorney general who is willing and able to do the job. Thank you for your support. Together, we will win in November.
