Dear Friends and Colleagues,
CDA members throughout California are deeply saddened by the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles. Our thoughts are with everyone impacted, and we extend our heartfelt wishes for their safety and well-being.
Our colleagues in the affected area are facing an incredibly challenging situation, and we want to offer our unwavering support. While the immediate effects of this disaster unfold, we understand they are focused on addressing urgent needs in their communities.
To ensure our messages of support are easily accessible, we kindly request that any messages you send include the subject line "Ready to Help When Needed" in emails, texts or social media posts. This will allow our colleagues in Southern California to easily find and reference these messages when they have the capacity.
The California Downtown Association is in communication with the LA BID Consortium, and we’re coordinating efforts with our national partner, International Downtown Association, to identify the most effective ways to aid. We will share updates and information on how to contribute as it becomes available. If you are interested in making a future donation of funds, supplies, technical services or other potential needs, please send a note to customerservice@downtown.org, and your email will be added to the list.
In the meantime, please know that the entire CDA and IDA community stands in solidarity with our friends in the LA region. We are here to help when needed and will continue to keep you in our thoughts.
With deepest sympathy and Ready to Help When Needed,
Chloe Shipp, CDA Chair
Anthony Rodriguez, LA BID Consortium Chair
Kris Larson, IDA Chair
David Downey, IDA President & CEO
