LAUNCHING A MINI-SOCIETY

Delaware teachers of grades 3 - 5

Have you ever thought about setting up a classroom Mini-Society but don't know where to start? Join the CEEE's Bonnie Meszaros and Amy Krzyzanowski, along with experienced Mini-Society teacher, Erin Boettcher, for this one-day professional development session that brings economics and entrepreneurship to life through hands-on, experience-based learning.

Mini-Society is an interdisciplinary program where students create their own economic system—designing currency, launching businesses, and trading goods and services within a classroom-run society. It’s an engaging, empowering way to connect real-world concepts to student learning.

What you’ll get:

  • A step-by-step Mini-Society Manual with lessons and support materials
  • Guidance from seasoned educators who've implemented the program
  • Practical tips on classroom setup, management, and integration with your curriculum
  • A chance to collaborate and share ideas with other 3rd–5th grade teachers
