Leadership Opportunities Opening at ITRC!

Seeking a State Member for the Board of Advisors (BOA)

ITRC has a leadership opportunity for a state government employee to fill a vacancy on the Board of Advisors. The BOA is a program advisory board composed of environmental leaders from state and federal government agencies and the private sector who volunteer their expertise to ensure ITRC fulfills its strategic direction.


The new state BOA member will serve as an At-Large member and one of seven state Voting Members. In this role, they will work closely with the ITRC Director and fellow BOA members to promote ITRC’s Strategic Direction, support its mission, and provide guidance on programs, projects, and initiatives.

The selected member will serve a three-year term, beginning this summer.

Seeking Leadership Committee Members for the Emerging Environmental Leaders (EEL) Forum

The ITRC Emerging Environmental Leaders forum is seeking individuals to serve in several leadership roles. These positions offer a meaningful way to build leadership skills, expand your professional network, and contribute to initiatives that support the next generation of environmental professionals.


Open positions:

  • Co-Chair: Lead planning, calls, and coordination with ITRC leadership (must be a state agency member)
  • Outreach & Engagement Coordinator: Support promotion, communications, and materials
  • Social Coordinator: Plan networking events and activities
  • Mentorship Coordinator/Lead: Support and manage the mentorship program
  • Administrative Lead: Assist with planning, notes, and coordination


These roles will be 1-2 years in length and are a great opportunity to build leadership experience, expand your network, and contribute to initiatives supporting the next generation of environmental professionals.
