"SPRING TRAINING" STARTS SOON!

Regular Registration Deadline is March 17

The weather is showing signs of change and that means the Tee-Ball, Baseball & Softball season is upon us.

if you haven't done so, be sure to register online on or before March 17 to avoid late fees. Have a quick question? Please see our website for complete program information.

ASSESSMENTS

The WYBSL conducts 2 different types of player assessments based upon league of play (there are no Tee-Ball assessments):

  1. Play-up Assessments: MANDATORY for those who registered to play in an "older" age division league.
  2. Skill Assessments: are not mandatory but participation is strongly encouraged. These assessments are conducted to help balance team selection either by draft of staff assignment.

Skill assessments are only conducted for certain leagues:

  • 10U & 12U Softball: assessments are used for coaches to draft teams.
  • 10U/12U/14U/18U Baseball: assessments are used for coaches to draft teams.
  • Players who cannot attend their skill assessment are assigned to teams using a blind draw/“age and alphabet” assignment or by Staff.

Please see our website to reference important Play-up and Skill Assessment details.

Assessments are scheduled for Saturday, April 5th. The rain date will be April 6th. Times and locations can be found in the website calendar. Lastly, be sure to check our weather hotline (614-523-6220) and/or X (@WYBSLalerts) on assessment day for any schedule changes.
