500 miles. 100 athletes. One mission: move forward together.

We're pleased to announce the 2023 Achilles Relay, a run, walk and wheeling journey from Boston, MA to Washington D.C. Starting this Monday through Tuesday May, 23 over 100 of our members from six Achilles chapters will team up with veterans of the Achilles Freedom Team to pass the baton down the East Coast. Meet Ken Higgins of Dacula, GA

Ken is a United States Army veteran who joined the Achilles Freedom Team in 2017. He lives with a spinal cord injury and a traumatic brain injury and has been racing since 1999. “I can’t wait for the Achilles Relay and for the opportunity to spread the word about all the great resources Achilles offers. The Achilles family is one of a kind. You can’t replicate this anywhere. I want to keep racing as long as I possibly can just to be a part of this family," says Ken.

Follow #AchillesRelay on social media next week to see athletes from Boston, Connecticut, NYC, New Jersey, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C. in action.
