2021 UMAPP Board of Directors Election
Apply by September 17, 2020
We need your experience, wisdom, and leadership
Being elected to the Board of one of the largest regional promotional professionals associations in the country is an honor. You will help set the direction for a very important organization in the community of industry professionals.

Brush off your volunteer hat and tune up your leadership skills!

We have 2 director positions open:

  • Supplier Director (two-year term).  January 1, 2021 - December 31, 2022 (current director, Sabrina Franz, is moving to the Executive Board (Secretary))

  • Distributor Director (two-year term). January 1, 2021- December 31, 2022 (Two-year term is ending for Dan Livengood)
What's Involved in Being a Board Director?
  • A willingness to share your expertise and business sense, along with basic leadership skills.

  • Enthusiasm to be a part of a great group of industry professionals.

  • New board members are requested to attend the annual UMAPP Summit Board meeting on Monday, October 26 (to be determined if this will take place in person or via Zoom, and the length of time).

  • Ability to meet in the local Twin Cities area for board meetings (held approximately 10 times a year from 11am-1pm). This might change as all meetings are currently being held via Zoom.

  • Have at least 2 years of industry experience and currently work for a UMAPP member company.

  •  Be ready to meet new people, make new contacts, have fun, and volunteer for one of the strongest regional associations in the country.

The Board will continue with a video option (Zoom) after in-person meetings resume for those who are not always able to attend in person. Board members are required to attend 75% of all scheduled meetings (either by Zoom or in person).
What's Next?
  • Complete the online application (below)
  • The Board of Directors will choose one candidate from the supplier pool and one candidate from the distributor pool (this is new for 2021). The prior process used to be all interested candidates would go before the membership for a vote.

  • To follow in PPAI's footsteps, the UMAPP Board of Directors has determined it will choose one qualified candidate (from the applications received) for each director vacancy. Then submit those candidates to the membership for approval.
Deadline: Thursday, September 17, 2020
