While Governor Hobbs continues to march to the beat of her own drum, it is after her most recent State of the State Address that makes it more obvious than ever how out of touch she is with the people of the Great State of Arizona.
Not only is she misguiding our citizens, making it sound like she is tough on border security and cares about our families, but she nonchalantly attacks some of the most helpful programs for families with lies and misrepresentations.
The Empowerment Scholarship Accounts (ESAs) are an effective model for school choice that many other states are gleaning from. We are proud to have tax dollars allocated toward education be given directly to our students, instead of institutions. As this program grows and is tweaked toward perfection, it will be an even stronger testament of what we can accomplish when we put our children first.
As we work hard in the Legislature to draft bipartisan bills to help all Arizonans, she prefers to perpetuate division with her Veto power, deterring us from becoming a better and stronger Arizona. I strongly encourage Governor Hobbs to rethink her approach and work towards unity, not division.
As Majority Leader of the Arizona State House of Representatives, I will continue to push for policies that empower our families, strengthen our economy, and protect our citizens. Together, we can build a brighter future for all Arizonans.
