THE FUTURE OF EUREKA RECREATION CENTER | |
The Eureka Recreation Center is undergoing a major redevelopment, with a project cost of about $14 million funded by American Rescue Plan Act grants and local dollars. The project aims to enhance opportunities for youth development and community gathering through improved indoor and outdoor sports facilities, new event spaces, and expanded accessibility to the facility. Other upgrades include increased after school program capacity, public art opportunities, and a multi-purpose programming and meeting room.
Construction begins in late summer 2024, with expected completion in spring 2026. A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for August 22nd at 9:30 am.
