Powering Your Marketing with A.I.

A.I. is fundamentally transforming how business is done across the entire enterprise. When A.I. first hit Mainstreet, my marketing clients would ask how to start, which products to adopt, and how much time and money it might save. With use, their questions have become much more sophisticated, and often times they ask their trusted tools with their questions these days! For those ready to embrace AI in their marketing, I asked my AI tools to tell me what they can do for my clients and here’s word for word what they told me:

  • AI algorithms can analyze customer behavior and preferences to deliver tailored product recommendations, enhancing engagement and conversion rates.
  • AI tools can automate content creation for various channels, including social media posts, blog articles, and email marketing campaigns.
  • Chatbots powered by AI can provide 24/7 customer support, handling inquiries and resolving issues efficiently.
  • AI can analyze vast datasets to predict customer behavior, market trends, and potential issues, enabling proactive decision-making.
  • AI can optimize social media posting schedules, identify trending topics, and personalize content for specific audiences.
  • AI tools can analyze search trends, identify keywords, and optimize website content to improve search engine rankings.

A few words of warning. The power of A.I. can be limited. For example, it can’t produce powerful creative concepts based on its own strategic vision. You still need an expert. Some of the output can be dull, average, or downright plagiarized so please be careful by reviewing copy and keep pushing your tools with more specific prompts. A.I. has transformed how marketing is done and the pace of change is staggering.

If you’d like to discuss how to power your marketing through effective AI adoption, or if you need some seasoned strategic advice to make sure your AI is actually intelligent, please drop me an old fashioned email: Rick@AtlanticStrategies.NET

Trade Policy Update here

July 2025

June continued to see major developments to the transatlantic trade and investment environment, with the implementation of some of the provisions agreed in the US-UK Economic Prosperity Deal provisions, particularly the tariff reductions for the UK auto and aerospace sectors. While there is still progress to be made, this implementation was a welcome announcement to UK exporters to the US. Three days later, the UK’s New Trade Strategy was published, providing a framework for stronger trade policy and trade promotion alignment.

In addition, BAB published its latest annual Trade Guide for 2025/26, marked by a launch event held in New York, with the support of HM Trade Commissioner for North America, Oliver Christian. This year’s Guide is a great resource for US companies exploring opportunities to export or expand their business into the UK. BAB also celebrated the 5th Transatlantic Growth awards, which acknowledged US and UK businesses that had made significant transatlantic investments in 2024.

On the policy front, BAB has been actively engaged in advocacy against provisions within the One Big Beautiful Bill. BAB was pleased with the recent announcement to remove Section 899 from the document, providing a greater level of certainty for the investment corridor.

BAB also released its 2025 report on the transatlantic Life Sciences environment, further affirming the importance of the sector following the signing of the US-UK Economic Prosperity Deal and its prioritisation within the UK’s recently published Modern Industrial Strategy.

BritishAmerican Business Response to the International Relations and Defence Committee’s Call for Evidence on the UK’s future relationship with the US

BAB, August 13, 2025

The International Relations and Defence Committee undertook an inquiry into the UK’s future relationship with the US. This was an opportunity to evaluate the current state of the transatlantic relationship and make evidence-based recommendations to the UK government about how the relationship can be strengthened whilst simultaneously ensuring it continues to safeguard UK interests in the years ahead.

The three areas of interest consisted of: 1) assessing the special relationship; 2) economic relationship; and 3) bilateral relationship and wider international engagement.

BAB submitted evidence to the Committee’s inquiry, highlighting the enduring strength and strategic importance of the UK-US ‘special relationship’.

30% tariffs. In what world does this make cents?

Institute of Directors, Emma Rowland, July 17, 2025

Upon 1 August, countries around the world will have either, ideally, secured some form of deal with the US, or will less ideally, brace for increased tariff measures. Nations around the world were sent letters in the first couple of weeks of July outlining how their tariff rate would change without a deal. For example, Brazil’s 10% 2 April rate would increase to 50%. Mexico and Canada, which didn’t originally receive additional tariffs on liberation day, could be subject to 30% and 35% respectively on 1 August.

Some nations will be relieved that their letter contained news of tariff reduction, such as Sri Lanka, which could see their rate cut from 44% to 30%, or Moldova, from 31% to 25%. And so far, China, Vietnam and the UK are the only nations to have managed to secure a deal, or at least an agreement in principle, shielding them from the worst of the levies.

Call for British Museum to take Bayeux tapestry to ‘1066 country’

MP calls for region where Battle of Hastings took place to be included in events surrounding return of artwork

Guardian, Nadia Khomami, July 14, 2025

The MP for Hastings and Rye has called on the British Museum to let the Bayeux tapestry spend time in “1066 country” when it comes to the UK, and to ensure the region reaps the benefits of the “once-in-a-generation exhibition”.

The tapestry will return to the UK for the first time in more than 900 years as part of a landmark loan agreement announced by the prime minister, Keir Starmer, and the French president, Emmanuel Macron.

The 70-metre embroidered cloth, which depicts the 1066 Norman invasion and Battle of Hastings, will go on display at the British Museum from September next year.
