County Energy Disclosure Disclosure Steamlined 


Through a partnership with the Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection, GCAAR has updated the Energy Efficiency Disclosure Notice.

With this new notice, the websites on the REA Disclosure will be simplified to produce a shorter form – always a good thing!


District of Columbia
DCAR Working on Comprehensive Plan

DCAR’s Government Affairs Team is working to help restructure certain elements of the DC Comprehensive Plan. We are engaging with developers, nonprofits, and other industry leaders to determine how to best utilize the District’s land in ways that benefit its residents.

We expect to bring proposals to the Council for their consideration in the coming months. Read more about proposed changes here .

Short-Term Rental Legislation Progresses

The DC Council voted in favor of a bill that would create a regulatory structure for short-term rentals in the city. The bill, which still must clear several additional hurdles, can be read here .
