Real Estate Consumer Protection Enhancement Passes NJ Legislature

The State Assembly and State Senate officially passed the Real Estate Consumer Protection Enhancement Act. The bill now awaits the governor's final approval.

Once signed, the bill will mandate the use of the seller's property condition disclosure statement, disclosure of representation at open houses, allow for designated agency, and mandate buyer agency agreements.

Use Caution: NACREP Dues Not to be Confused with REALTOR® Dues

Some NEXUS members have received a membership renewal email from the National Association of Certified Real Estate Professionals (NACREP).

Please do not confuse this association with the REALTOR® Association. NEXUS membership renewal will begin later this month while the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) and New Jersey REALTORS® (NJR) membership renewals begin in October.

Please use caution if you receive an email from NACREP.
