Rec Pool Update
The Rec Pool will remain closed for continued maintenance. All classes have been moved to the Lap Pool, except Vortex Water Power class, which will meet in the Rec Pool.
YMCA State Swim March 5th & 6th
The Iowa YMCA State Swimming Championships will take place at the Marshalltown YMCA-YWCA on March 5th & 6th. Swimmers ages 4-18 from across Iowa will represent 23 teams and total of 661 athletes. Admission is free. 
Y Building Closures:
  • The Lap Pool and Rec Pool will be closed all day, March 5 & 6. 
  • The Gym will close at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 4th and will remain closed all weekend. 
  • All other facilities and activities will run as scheduled.
Congratulations Blue Wave Swim Team 2022 All-Stars
Marshalltown YMCA-YWCA Blue Wave Swim Team members Beckham DeSotel and Libby Meyer​ were chosen to the 2022 All-Star Team.
All-Star Team members are committed to YOUTH DEVELOPMENT – positive role model, HEALTHY LIVING – taking an active role in a lifelong sport and SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY – giving back and supporting others in their community. They have shown dedication to YMCA Swimming and great sportsmanship to all those around them.

Parent Tot Dance
Learn new and creative ways to enjoy music and dance! This class is geared towards toddlers, 18 months to 3 years, and an adult. Starts March 3rd.

Youth Indoor Soccer starts March 12th! This developmental clinic for ages 4-8 meets on Saturdays and includes instruction on fundamentals and scrimmage time.

Daddy Daughter Dance
Daddy Daughter Dance is back! For girls in preschool through 3rd grade and their dad, grandpa, uncle or any special guy in their lives. Event is Friday, March 18th from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Y's Cultural Center.
