underinsured, and underrepresented populations.

In early March, dozens of local stakeholders funneled into a conference room on the east side of Washtenaw County. What were they doing there? They'd come to discuss transportation challenges for the county’s aging population—and equitable ways to address those challenges.

Corner Health Center
Year founded: 1980
Mission: To inspire 12- to 25-year-olds (and their children) to achieve and sustain healthy lives by providing judgment-free, affordable health and wellness care and education.
Key focus area: Youth healthcare.
Services:
- General Wellness Care: Services such as yearly physicals, immunization administration, and TB tests.
- Sexual Health Care: Essential services such as birth control, emergency contraception, and STI testing and treatment. In addition, HIV testing and counseling, pregnancy tests, and prenatal care are provided in a confidential manner.
- Mental Health Care: Access to counselors and psychiatrists is provided, as well as strategies to help with stress, sadness, depression, anxiety, and ADHD. There is also support provided in relation to eating disorders, bullying, and LGBTQ+ identities.

Other services and programs:
- The Patient Assistance Fund helps patients pay for their transportation to and from the center, as well as to pay for prescription medicine and emergency treatment.
- The Corner store food pantry provides non-perishable items that are accessible to all patients at the time of their visit.
- The Youth Leadership Council helps young people who want to develop their own leadership skills to help improve the health of their community.
