It's been a busy summer over here at MdC! Over the past couple of weeks, we've had a lot of exciting things going on – and we have a lot to look forward to on the horizon!

We are so grateful for your ongoing support of our work at the border. Lives are being impacted thanks to you and we are excited to share some of what we've been up to this month.

Mexico Team Staff Retreat

What an impactful 3-day retreat this past week with 29 members of our staff in the mountains of Mexico. Francisco and Jean led team-building exercises and a deep dive into the MdC mission and the many facets of our organization.

We educated our staff about you, our donors, and the sacrifices you make to support our mission. We emphasized our staff's responsibility in shepherding our resources and our obligation to work together to implement our community goals.

Our staff understood what it means to give sacrificially, and it was humbling to see that they, too, were inspired to give the best of what they have through their work and their abilities.

Each staff wrote what they appreciated on paper taped to our backs. It was so encouraging.

MdC Student Graduation

We are bursting with pride as all of our students (elementary and preschool) graduated last week and are embarking on the next chapter in their education! Their educational future is not always certain in the public school system, so it is essential that we provide the strongest foundation possible for success. We are so proud!

Inventory Special

The women in our work program have been clearing out old inventory and are currently working on bringing you exclusive styles and one-of-a-kind pieces –stay on the lookout for upcoming sales where you can grab these unique pieces, since they won't be coming back again!

We Got A Washing Machine!

This summer, we've been thrilled with a new addition to MdC – a new washing machine and dryer donated by our medical team that came in April! A small change can make a big difference in our community. Students can now bring their school uniforms and leave with freshly cleaned clothes at the end of the day, freeing up time and energy.

New Glasses

One of our teens is showing off her new glasses that she received after our April medical fair. What a blessing the gift of better eyesight is to members of our community.
