GENERAL REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Before you register, please read the following helpful tips for online registration.
Camp has found that online registration is an easy and thorough way to register our campers and ensure that they have the safest experience at camp as possible. There are a number of fields with information you will be asked to provide about your camper, and it's easiest and quickest if you have this information available before you start the registration process. We recommend the following:
  • If you have used our registration system in the past, you may have already created a username and password. You will need both to access your camper account. If you don't know this information, use the "forgot username/password" option on the login page, or give us a call at 1-800-OKOBOJI.
  • You must have an e-mail address to register online. E-mail is an important way that we send confirmation information to our online registrants, so please use an e-mail address that you check frequently.
  • Know who you want to list as your emergency contact person, and have their phone number(s) available. Please be complete in filling in the medical form. The more information we know about your camper, the better we'll be able to keep your camper safe and healthy while they're at camp.
  • Some of the information you'll need on the medical form includes:
  • Camper's height and weight.
  • Year of last tetanus shot, any allergies (environmental, food allergies, and allergies to medication), chronic conditions or illnesses (asthma, ADHD, heart conditions, etc.), and past injuries or surgeries.
  • Any medications (including over the counter medications) that your camper will be bringing to camp, the dosage, and the times of day when the medication is to be taken.
  • The insurance company, policy number, and policy holder's name.
  • Payment
  • Credit card information (we accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover) When you have completed the registration process, you will be directed to a payment screen.
  • Please pay $52 for first-time campers or $57 for returning campers. Our Savior’s Lutheran Church will pay the remaining $30 on your balance.
  • Additonal instructions relating to your spacific camps are listed below under HOW TO REGISTER FOR INDIVIDUAL CAMPS
  • After completing payment, you will receive an automatic e-mail that will confirm that your registration has been received.

IF YOU HAVE ANY TROUBLE WITH ONLINE REGISTRATION: Please don't hesitate to give us a call! We're here to help! Call us at 1-800-OKOBOJI

CONSIDER BEING A CHAPERONE
Adults are invited to join us for the weekend as chaperones. Chaperones at camp stay in adult rooms in a separate area from the youth. Adults are then invited to join the youth for worship, meal time, for group games or to enjoy a relaxing weekend in Okoboji. Chaperones have zero direct supervision responsibilities once we arrive at camp and have found it freeing an fun to be able to choose times to interact with the programming while also having time to explore Okoboji or even read a good book. It really is the best of both worlds and a great way to see how our youth are growing and learning at camp while recharging your batteries. If you are interested in being a chaperone or learning more, please contact John at [email protected] .
MORE INFORMATION
WHAT IS THE TITLE "Power Up" ABOUT?    Living as a Christian in our world can be challenging. We mess up. We fall short. We need help. The good news is that God has given us exactly what we need to POWER UP and follow him. In fact, God sent the Holy Spirit to empower us to love others, obey His commands, speak truth, and serve others like Jesus. It’s like when Mario, Sonic, or another favorite video game hero struggles to complete a task, they find Power UP’s to give them tools and strength to keep going. (In fact, plan to see some video game characters and activities at the Recharges this fall!) Join us, to learn more about the strength God gives us and the different ways we can “POWER UP” our faith.

What to Bring? Sleeping bag or twin sized sheets, pillow, towel, clothing, jacket and shoes that are good to run around in. Toiletries: shampoo, toothbrush, etc. Bible, notebook, and pen. Necessary medications in original containers. Money for the Camp Store (optional).
PLEASE LEAVE AT HOME: Cell phones, pets, iPods/MP3 players, knives or weapons of any kind.
Camp strongly recommend that campers DO NOT bring cell phones to camp. We understand that campers traveling from a long distance in a group may feel more comfortable bringing a phone, but we expect it to be turned off and put away during the Recharge. Please direct all communication to the camper through the camp office or youth leader. We will hold on to any cell phones that become a distraction or an issue until the end of the weekend.
Message from John
The Bible Camp at Okoboji has been a big part of my life. I spent three summers and one-year full time at this camp, starting as a counselor at Ingham, then as a day camp leader, program team/youth director at a Trinity Lutheran in Sibley, and finally as a program director for the Okoboji site.
One of the best parts of being the Director of Youth Ministry here at OSL is seeing our youth being impacted by the message of Christ while also having a lot of fun. To know Christ and to make Him known is the mission of the camp. I have seen it "in action" throughout the years since first visiting in 2006. I invite your youth to come and meet with Jesus and return with a new excitement for all that God is doing.
We look forward to seeing you there!
