Together for Mental Health

Thank you to those who joined us last week in West Allis, Wis., to recognize Mental Health Awareness Month and the importance of treatment.

We hosted State Senator Rob Hutton (top center), provided demonstrations on transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), and connected with providers from the West Allis Health Department, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Stress Management and Mental Health Clinics, ERC Pathlight, Rogers Behavioral Health, and more.

Our attendees participated in a mindfulness experiential led by one of our therapists Melissa Nelson, LCSW, CSAC, and made their mark on a Mental Health Matters coloring canvas. It was a beautiful day to shine a light on mental health, and honor those who treat patients and those in treatment.

Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) can help individuals suffering from depression. A carefully performed 24-week trial examined the effect of TMS on symptoms of Alzheimer's disease.
