RECORD RAIN IMPACTS MOWING

It has rained all but one day so far this month and the forecast is for rain every day through the end of the month. We currently sit at 7.7" of rain which is almost 5.0" above normal and less than an inch from the all-time record. With all that rain, we have been challenged to mow much the past 2 weeks. Mowing when it is this wet, can cause serious damage.

To complicate things, leaves are starting to fall significantly. Despite some lawns getting long, we are moving our focus to leaf removal and will suspend most mowing until major leaf fall is complete. This is common as we move toward November but normally we are able to mow late in October to go into the leaf season with shorter lawns. We are sorry about this as we do not want to damage your lawns and believe leaf removal is more impactful anyway.

We will keep you informed as the season continues as we will monitor conditions and provide you with the most important activity based on the weather and site conditions.
