Dorado Season is Year-Round in Argentina
The Río Paraná is the only river in Argentina that offers the possibility to catch 20+ pounds dorados during the four seasons in Argentina.

Because Dorado are migratory fish, we are able to follow and target them during almost the whole year.

This keeps us busy in two different locations.

Paraná River Outfitters (PRO) , located in a small town near the Middle Parana River, allows us to fish from late June to early November. This section of the river offers great opportunities to connect with big dorados in loggy structure, sand bars, lagoons and black water creeks.

Dorados at this time follow the baitfish migration as they get ready for the spawning that occurs usually during November and December.

Suindá Lodge , strategically located in the Upper Paraná river, fishes well from October to early May (December is closed due to spawning) and basing anglers at Suindá gives us great chances to fish for these golden fish in different kinds of structure like rocks, log-strewn banks and sand bars. Also here we find great fishing for Pacú and Pirá Pitá.

These locations are not necessarily about numbers—they are about having the chance to land the dorado of a lifetime.

Fish last season landed at PRO ranged from 20 to 33 pounds. The biggest dorado landed this season at Suindá Lodge ranged 20 to 37 pounds.

September - October it THE time of the year were you can combine these two locations, having the possibility of targeting big dorado on the two most productive sections of this magnificent river.
