January, 2022
Greetings,

I wish you a happy new year! I hope it's off to a great start.

Supply chain shortages and their impact on unfinished projects are something many of us are experiencing as we kick off 2022. However, if you develop and implement an action plan, you can recover from elevated cost and shipping delays. Read on and learn about cultivating a strategy that will help get your project back on track.

Supply-Chain Delay: Tactics for Recovering from an Out-of-Control Project
For contractors trying to navigate the construction industry’s current supply-chain battles, President Dwight D. Eisenhower once articulated advice that, although not about the industry’s problem, is still right on point: “In preparing for battle I have always found that plans are useless, but planning is indispensable.” Due to unprecedented supply-chain disruptions, many highway and transportation contractors are finding that they must quickly abandon any plan developed for subcontracting work or delivering material and the time to complete such tasks. Free' at-home COVID tests are here: Government tests start shipping Wednesday
Health insurance companies in the US must now pay for at-home COVID test kits, per federal law. Customers can be reimbursed for up to eight tests per month per individual or receive them for free at participating "in-network" pharmacies. That means a family of five with health insurance will be able to get up to 40 free tests per month.

Those without health insurance can soon receive free at-home COVID tests directly from the federal government. Starting Wednesday, Jan. 19, Americans will be able to request four free at-home COVID-19 tests per household at COVIDTests.gov, with kits shipping within seven to 12 days.
