Partners, friends, and colleagues,

It is a bittersweet day at the R3 Recovery Center today. This will be my last day with Wilkes Recovery Revolution, Inc., and Recovery Friendly NC.

I am moving on to a new position with a different employer, but I am bringing with me knowledge, compassion, experiences, and partnerships that I would never have obtained without the support and guidance of my team here at Wilkes Recovery Revolution.

I leave you in good hands; Devin Lyall and Jeff Walker are leaders in the recovery movement, not just in NW NC, but across the nation. The model they have built, the support they provide for their team, and the impact they are having on their community will continue to inform the work of the Recovery Friendly Workplace movement.

You will likely receive an email from a staff member soon; LB Prevette is highly skilled in community organizing, consulting for the private sector, and facilitating meaningful program development. She will support WRR during this transition.

Either way, you are ALWAYS welcome to call the R3 Recovery Center to get guidance or support from our staff, resource navigation for your employees, or engage with the meaningful work happening in the beautiful community center in West Park.

From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank each and every one of you for joining me on this journey, for prioritizing wellness and recovery, and for making a difference in our community. We are stronger together!

Thank you,

Ariana Williamson

"It Is Time to Implement Primary Prevention in the Workplace to Ameliorate the Ongoing U.S. Opioid Epidemic"

Primary prevention in the workplace can support safety, financial wellness, retention, and communication practices. It is an excellent tool for breaking down stigma, as it is not targeted in its approach so everyone receives valuable education on injury and illness prevention.
