Ghosts, ghouls, and little goblins—get your costumes ready!
Our annual Trunk or Treat is back on Friday, October 16 in Recreation Parking Lot E from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM! Families can trick-or-treat safely from car to car as participants show off their creatively decorated vehicles.
Ready to create a magical, memorable evening for our community's children? We are looking for enthusiastic community members to step up, decorate a trunk, and hand out candy (participants supply their own treats). Children do not need to register to attend, but signing up your vehicle ensures our local kids have a safe, festive, and fun-filled place to celebrate together. Your decorated vehicle can truly make all the difference in filling the lot with holiday magic. Join us in making this a wonderful tradition for our kids!

Palates of Fall at Chef’s Table!
Autumn brings a fresh batch of seasonal ingredients into the kitchen for our Chef’s Table program. Fiddleheads Cooking Studio brings their expert instruction directly to our facility for this limited fall series. Give young cooks the chance to master foundational techniques while preparing fall favorites like fresh apple pancakes and savory squash soup, building true culinary confidence with every class. Participants sample their creations and take home a copy of the recipe.
Grab your apron and taste what the season has to offer.

Join us for our annual 5K Turkey Trot & 1 Mile Gobbler Trot on Sunday, November 22, 2026. Start & Finish in Pierson Park
(Racing on the scenic riverwalk towards the lighthouse!)
Schedule of Events:

Race Day Registration & Check-in: 8:30 a.m. – 9:15 a.m. in the senior building

Kid Race (1 mi.): 9:30 a.m. start

Adult Race (5K): 10:00 a.m. start (Featuring a 10-minute warm-up before the 5K hosted by KANA Physical Therapy!)

Now until October 31st: $30 (Includes an exclusive race t-shirt!)

After a 4 year process, the 501 3(c) nonprofit "Friends of Tarrytown Parks & Recreation," was established on January 1, 2025. "Friends" will work closely with Parks and Recreation departments to aid and assist with providing quality programs, services, and parks modifications that are beyond routine expenses as projected by the annual budget. It serves to enhance the lives of residents by supporting Parks and Recreation.
