Upcoming Pavilion Closure Update:
Town Council approved three contracts at its January 19, 2022 meeting for continued progress on a project to seismically retrofit the Town’s iconic Pavilion. As indicated on the Town’s project webpage.
The Town is the beneficiary of a significant grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and combined with Town funds, the project will retrofit the building to make it more resilient and resistant to damage from earthquake and high winds while bringing it into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
The three contracts approved will result in an agreement between the Town and the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria for treatment of tribal cultural resources and tribal monitoring during construction, continued retention of the archeologist that has aided the Town in getting to approval for construction for services during construction, and a specialty consultant to assist in the preparation of bid documents for foundation replacement as the first phase of actual construction.
For questions about the project, please contact Jonathon Goldman, PE – Interim Public Works Director.
