IMPORTANT DATES AND UPCOMING EVENTS
Holiday Break- No recreational dance classes Thursday, Dec. 21st - Monday, Jan. 1st 
Classes will resume Tuesday, Jan 2nd.

Classes WILL be held on both Mon, Jan. 16th (MLK day) & Mon, Feb. 20th (President’s day).

Spring Break- No recreational classes Monday, March 4th - Saturday, Mar 9th

Picture Week: Monday, April 1st - Saturday, April 6th

Final Class Day: Saturday, May 18th

Tots Showcase: Sunday, May 19th

Dress Rehearsals: Monday, May 20th through Thursday, May 23rd (Preschool-Adult)

Recitals: Tuesday, May 28th through Saturday, June 1st (Preschool-Adult)
**exact show dates/times, for each class, will be posted by Feb. 1st.
HOLIDAY CLASS VIEWING
Dancers in the following age level/classes will be having a short Holiday Viewing for their family during a class in December:
  • Pre 1 & 2
  • Kgn/1st
  • Hip Hop ages 4-6
  • Ballet Only - Pre and Kgn/1st
We look forward to showing you a sample of what we have been working on so far this fall, as well as sharing a Holiday Routine or two!

While it is not required, it is fun for dancers to dress festively. Check out the options in the WDC Boutique, wear holiday colors or add a little sparkle to your dance attire for the show!

Tights and Costume Information
In December, students will be sized for costumes in class and orders will be placed. Costumes will be distributed in class in the Spring. As stated in our policies, costume payments are non-refundable after December 1st.

Female Dancers- Tight sizing forms are due by December 16th. 
Forms will be passed out in class, or may be filled out online HERE.  
The cost of tights is included in your costume payments.
Tights forms will be needed for female dancers in the following classes:
  • 2-3 yrs thru 12th grade combo classes
  • All Ballet/Lyrical classes
  • 4-6 yrs and 1st/3rd grade Hip Hop Only

TOY COLLECTION
As you are shopping for the holidays, please consider picking up a toy for the special collection happening at WDC!

We are teaming up with Skylar Glass, current Miss Minnesota Junior Pre-Teen. Skylar is collecting toys to donate to children in the hospital during the holidays this season. New toys for kids of all ages are being accepted now through December 15th!
Donations will benefit Gillette Children’s hospital.

A few great toy options are: Craft Kits, Games, Action Figures, Stuffed Animals, Puzzles, Books, Fidget Toys, Lego Bricks and Dolls.

Classes canceled due to extreme weather will be communicated to our dance families as follows:
  • Email
  • WDC website
  • Facebook & Instagram posts
  • Studio voicemail system
  • Text Notification**

For morning class cancellations, we generally follow South Washington School closures. Afternoon/evening class cancellations are made in the afternoon based on travel conditions and weather forecasts. If you do not feel safe driving to the studio, you are always welcome to have your dancer attend a make-up class.

Each class has two snow days built into our yearly schedule. If class has to be canceled more than twice on any given day, a make up date will be scheduled.

Darby's Dancers Donations
Are you looking for year-end donation This holiday season, please consider supporting our Darby's Dancers program at WDC. This non-profit organization at WDC provides classes, dance wear, shoes and recital costumes at no cost to dancers with special needs. Donations can be made online HERE.
